Since 2012, YouTube allows obfuscation of only part of the video to hide identity or some sensitive information. But as of today, this useful tool has finally been improved a lot.
YT announced Thursday that it has launched a tool that allows you to blur literally any object in a video, even if it's moving.
The key to the success of the new tool is that other parts remain sharp and not blurred, which was not possible in the previous version of this tool. It's simple to use just draw a square what you want to blur and YT will do the rest. You can resize it to adjust when it starts and when it stops. If you want to blur only a certain part, you can still do it with the "lock" option.
YouTube has uploaded an example of how this tool works and it's really impressive. This option is currently available for YouTube for desktop.
