When Google tested their "Hands Free" method last year, no one really knew what it was all about. The new service allows users to pay by just saying "pay with Google".
The new service is actually an app that runs on Android 4.2 or later, as well as iOS devices from the iPhone 4S and up. When you launch the application, you will create an account that will be linked to your card. After that you upload your picture and that's it. When buying or paying for anything, the system simply works with the cash register for payment via bluetooth or wifi. And if you want to pay via google, you only need to say "pay with Google" your picture will be sent to the cash register where the person behind the cash register will see your picture and confirm that it is you.
Currently, this method is only enabled at McDonald's and Papa John's. The app will also be separated from Google play. Many have expressed concern about the security of this payment system, so there is talk of a camera on the cash register that will perform facial recognition as an additional security method.
