This quick tutorial will guide you through a simple DNSSEC setup.
DNSSEC is set up where the domain is registered and where you set up the nameservers. So namesrevere from your hosting provider is the first part and on the domain where the domain was purchased the second part.
To follow this guide you will need to log in to our client panel webhostingsrbija.rs/klijent-panel/ and in cPanel (the other part of DNSSEC is set where the nameservers are).
DNSSEC cPanel setup
Click on the Zone Editor icon and then on the DNSSEC button on the domain you want to turn on the DNSSEC option.
After that, click on the blue CREATE KEY button, after a small window appears, just confirm by clicking on CREATE. After that, you will be presented with an option as shown in the image below:
Now leave that window open and switch to the client panel.
Setting to domain setting
Code panel client click the "Edit" button next to the "Domains" box and you will see a list of active domains. You click on the domain you want to set DNSSEC on.
In the next step, under the DNSSEC option, click the blue CHANGE button.
It will appear at the bottom of the options to enter and select the parameters that you got in cPanel.
We enter or select in the fields as shown in the picture below:
When you've done all that, it should look like the picture below in your client panel:
Now all that's left is to click "Save". After that you have successfully set up DNSSEC on the domain.
As with any DNS change, dns propagation and a wait of 1-48 hours for it to be visible apply.
One recommendation is that it is preferable to do this once a year in order to create a new key and thereby provide additional protection.
If you want it, you need to do this same instruction with cPanel, then wait 48 hours and then add it to the client panel on the domain in order to complete the dns propagation and so that there are no interruptions in work.
Setting up CloudFlare DNSSEC
If you use CloudFlare nameservers, then you set the first part of DNSSEC on cloudflare. You log in and click the DNS blue icon and then Enable DNSSEC . After that, a window will open like in the picture below and what you need is framed in red
After that, in the client panel https://cp.webhostingsrbija.rs/ you need to click on "Edit" at the domain and then on the domain itself for which you are setting up DNSSEC and in the field enter from the image above to the fields below as in the example:
After that you click save and that's it. After the change, you need to wait at least 1 hour for the verification to be complete, because this, like every DNS change, is part of the DNS propagation from 1h to 24h.
