New speed record

A new data transfer speed record has been set by University College London. It amounts to 1,125 terabytes per second. Of course, this is all in laboratory conditions with special cables and modems that are still being developed.

Of course, new problems appear here, as they say at the university, which is that today's computers cannot use their full potential because they are too slow. It is also necessary to improve them in order to keep up with the speed of the Internet.

The next steps are to create longer cables where they will test at larger destinations as speed is known to decrease with distance.
