Outlook revival

Although outlook is quite common in our country, it is generally forgotten and outdated. It is simply not used anymore and there is no reason to use it. Microsoft itself has moved on to more modern software.

The most difficult combination that exists is Microsoft Office 2010 (and older) with an older operating system that is not Windows 10. This requires refinement as described below.

It is definitely recommended to update the operating system and Office itself or, ideally, switch to something more modern such as MailBird or many other modern Email clients.

Microsoft outlook 2007 and windows 7/8 for tls 1.1 and tls 1.2 approval.

  1. It is necessary to update the system, you have to do every update that is waiting for an update. For windows 7 it needs to be installed Service Pack 1

2. It is necessary to install kb3140245, download. After installation, restart the computer.

3. Then you need to install and run the EasyFix provided by Microsoft itself for this problem. Microsoft manual and file.

4. Then click Start on your computer and type Regedit and then press enter on the keyboard. A window for the next steps will open.

5. Now in the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel\Protocols
in Protocols you need to create a new Key (right click then new then key) called "TLS 1.1" and "TLS 1.2" (without quotes). They are like folders. Now in both of those created you go again to the new Key and create "Client" (without quotes).
After that, it is necessary to enter each Client key for TLS 1.1 as well. and for TLS 1.2 you create a DWORD (32bit or 64bit depending on your operating system) and on the right side it will appear for you to enter a name and type the name "DisabledByDefault" (without quotes).

You restart your computer and start Outlook.
